About Sr. Gerda Horn
” I believe and follow a holistic approach to physical and mental health.”
I am a registered nurse in midwifery, community and psychiatric care. During my 4 years of studies at 1 Military Hospital in Pretoria, I continued to grow my passion for helping people in all areas of health care. Now, with more than 25 years of nursing across various disciplines, I continue to be passionate about helping others. Leaving patients better off, compared to how I met them, is what keeps my professional career exciting and rewarding. I believe and follow a holistic approach to physical and mental health.

*Advance Wound Care (Eloquent courses, working for 9 years with Smith & Nephew and Negative Pressure wound therapy and involved with advance wound care treatment)
*Diabetes Care – (CDE Academy Foundation course Coaching and extension course 2022)
*Lactation Consultant (Wits University) SACLC 2020
*BabyTalk – (Hand in hand course 2023)
Sr Gerda strives to follow best practice according to the various nursing best practice guidelines and therefore attends regular training sessions and workshops. She remains an active and keen student for life and wants to stay at the cutting edge of nursing.
She is happily married with two lovely young working adult children. She passionately follows a holistic healthy lifestyle whilst also enjoying her triathlon journey with her husband. She has a keen sense of humor with a positive mindset and outlook in life.

Rates
Please note that this is a private practice. The rates are higher than the various medical aids. All consultations must be paid immediately and authorisation is not guaranteed of full reimbursement from the medical aid. The account holder remains responsible for the account. Please confirm the most recent rates when contacting me to book an appointment.
